Hello everyone!

PARTY OVER HERE

So, what's been going on? Mostly school stuff, really. We are preparing for our departure to Japan. We have received news about our scholarships (I am getting loads of cash, but hey, I'm gonna need it in one of the most expensive cities on earth), and I have my ticket booked on the 1st of April! For one year, I will officially have a legal alien-status, live as a 'special international student' (we are not regular international students, oh no! ), and study/do research at Rikkyo University in Nishi-Ikebukuro. It's probably going to rule, but of course, I'm pretty nervous! I will leave my room in Leiden and live in a students' dormitory, commute every day to campus, and TALK TO JAPANESE ALL THE TIME! Oh my god, what a challenge, right?!
I hope everything will work out okay, especially in the first few weeks, and I will be able to settle there. I'll probably have the time of my life. I'm just going to miss everyone at home.

I also went to a Dutch Sherlockians fanmeeting, as the ever glorious JIM MORIARTY, accompanied by the usual suspects as Molly and as Lestrade! We had a great time. It turns out the Dutch Sherlockians were awesome people, as could have been expected. So many inside jokes, so many fun outfits. We even dropped to the floor when someone yelled 'VATICAN CAMEOS', and a lot of great pictures were made. What a day! I was really proud of my attire as well. I took as many props with me as I could: a crown, the London hat, an apple to carve IOU in, and a Bee Gees ringtone. HOLLA!
Oh gawd, and there was a Moran. ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY WALK AWAY FROM MORMOR. I effing LOVE it and DROOL over it.

Shit is going down on tumblr, as well. I have fallen in love with Milex (Miles Kane/Alex Turner. It has a pairing name and that means it's canon). I have written a fanfic and I would have posted an accompanying fanart as well, but sadly, my laptop broke just before I could upload it. I will do so as soon as possible!! They're so damn cute.

I will now also come out as a Film Brain fan. Shoot me now, but I love Mathew Buck. I do.
